The Support Division encompasses the Communications team, the Criminal Investigation team and the Property and Evidence Team. Division Commander, Captain David Crowder and Support Division Sergeant Jason Brown work with three (3) sworn and eleven (12) non-sworn employees to handle requests for service, perform followup investigations, and collect, process and store evidence.

Additionally; the Support Division was accountable for selection of new agency employees, assessment for promotion within the agency, research projects, comparison research for purchases, firearms training, Standardized Field Sobriety Testing certification training, records retention, crime reports, prosecution records, warrant service and execution, computer application specialties, in-house information technology operation,
maintenance of the agency “Recognition” program, membership in the agency “Honor Guard”, agency owned property inventories, assisting with open record information requests, maintenance of “false alarm violation” reports, support of the Citizen’s Police Academy, providing supplemental administrative support, police facility tours, submission of various reports to state and county agencies and entities, installing and monitoring security systems, enter data to TCIC (Texas Crime Information Computer)/NCIC (National Crime Information Computer) systems, TCIC/NCIC records validation, operate the Texas Law Enforcement information system, service on the various agency committees, emergency notification, and staff cross training in ancillary assignments.
