Due to the pandemic, this drive will once again be by appointment only. No walk-ins will be accepted. Appropriate social/physical distancing guidelines will be in place. Masks will be required at the event. More details can be found at weareblood.org. You can schedule an appointment by visiting www.weareblood.org/donor/ and searching for Group Code A197. You can also contact the coordinators for an appointment or to ask questions at [email protected]. If appointments fill up, you may contact the coordinators via email to be added to a waitlist. If a spot opens up in the days before the event, you will be contacted. To be eligible, donors need to be in generally good health, at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds or more for whole blood donations. Photo identification is required. Organizers recommend that donors eat a good meal and drink plenty of liquids before donating. We Are Blood expects to have a special promotion for donors at the January drive.
Good Time Scavenger Hunt You'll probably notice clocks placed along walking trails and facilities at Lakeway City Park. It's part of a new city game that started January 9! You get 1 entry into the prize drawing for EACH clock you find. There are 10 clocks total. Find them all and you get 10 entries into the prize drawing! The clock is ticking - contest ends January 31.
