  1. Heritage Trail Tour: A Trip Through Lakeway's Past

    September 20, 2019, 9:15 AM - 3:00 PM @ City Hall

    Reserve your seat on the next Heritage Trail Tour on Sept. 20, 2019. The free bus tours are scheduled to leave at 9:15 a.m., 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m. from the Liebelt Cabin (pictured) located next to Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing. Lakeway Heritage Committee members and volunteers will guide each tour that lasts about one hour and 15 minutes. This tour will include 17 stops. Buses will have restrooms on board as well. A full map and description of historical sites that could be included in the tour can be found at Lakeway City Hall. The first Heritage Trail Tour celebrated Lakeway’s Golden Anniversary in 2013, and since then docents have informed and entertained more than 800 participants with facts and humorous anecdotes from the history of Lakeway and Lake Travis area. Admission is free for the Heritage Trail Tour, but bus seating is limited and reservations are required. Click on link for more information.

  2. Arts Committee Presentation: The Balcones Community Orchestra

    The Balcones Community Orchestra is a symphony of 36 musicians, directed by Dr. Robert Radmer. Dr Radmer has served on the music faculties of Texas State University and the College of Saint Scholastica, Eastern New Mexico University. He is also the Orchestra Director at St. Edwards University. PROGRAM: World Premiere, Metamorphosis Featuring Chaski (Chaski comprises Austin musicians Adrienne Inglis, Flute and Shana Norton, Harp. Metamorphosis is a work written by Inglis on commission from the BCO for the Lakeway audience) Le Barde Muet by French composer Bernard Andres also featuring Chaski Sinfonia No. 1 in C Major by Felix Mendelssohn Symphony No. 84 in E-Flat by Franz Josef Haydn

  1. Lakeway Community Blood Drive

    To schedule an appointment, visit WeAreBlood.org and use the Group Code A197 or contact the drive coordinators at LakewayCommunityBloodDrive@gmail.com. Walk-ins are welcomed, but donors with appointments are given priority. Some health conditions, medications and travel locations may temporarily or permanently prevent people from donating blood. Eligible donors are in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh at least 115 lbs. for whole blood donations or 110 pounds for platelet donations. If you have questions about eligibility call 512-206-1108. All other questions may be directed to the email address above or contact LHill@WeAreBlood.org.
