City of Lakeway offices will be closed Tuesday, Jan. 1, to observe New Year's Day. They will reopen for business at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2. Lakeway Police Department’s lobby will remain open throughout the holiday. Residential trash pick-up will slide one day later.

The Trail of Lights display is located just behind Lakeway City Hall and may be accessed by parking either at City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing Road, or at the Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek Road. Come see thousands of twinkling lights! See amusing tableaus, all accompanied by delightful seasonal music! For those attending who may be in wheelchairs or for those with baby carriages, please park at City Hall and access the Trail by walking down the front sidewalk to the right and around the building. Skateboards, scooters, bicycles and motorized vehicles such as Lil' Rascals and golf carts are not permitted. The Trail of Lights will continue nightly from 6:00 PM until midnight through the end of December. No dogs, please.

The City of Lakeway Arts Committee hosts a series of lunchtime concerts to help citizens escape the winter doldrums. No food or drink items will be served so pack a lunch, bring a friend and come enjoy some excellent entertainment!

Put on your dancing shoes and bring your own beverages and snacks to the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek on the second Monday of every month. Tables/seating available. Enjoy big band music from the 17-piece Republic of Texas Big Band, featuring David Cummings and Lisa Clark on vocals. This event is free and open to all ages. Donations to the band are encouraged. Vending machine on the premises. Sponsored by the Lakeway Arts Committee.

To be eligible to donate blood, donors need to be in good health, at least 17 years old and weigh 115 pounds or more for whole blood donations. Photo ID is required, and a good meal beforehand is highly recommended. Prospective donors with appointments are given priority during the donation process. Citizens are encouraged to attend the next State of Lakeway address at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing.
Lakeway Mayor Sandy Cox will review and provide updates on the city’s progress on initiatives begun in 2018, many of which are well under way or have been completed.
A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.

Lakeway residents may drop off brush for recycling at Public Works 3303 Serene Hills Drive.
Must show proof of residency, trash bill or drivers license. Non-residents will be turned away. One pick up truck load per resident. Contractors will not be able to deliver for residents.
