September 20thTONIGHT at City Hall!!!

Citizens are encouraged to attend the first "State of Lakeway" address at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 20 at Lakeway City Hall, 1102 Lohmans Crossing.  City leaders will present information on the Fiscal Year 2019 budget, actions to gather public input on development, updates on the Police Facility Project, and recent initiatives by city boards, commissions, and committees.  A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.  The "State of Lakeway" will be livestreamed and archived at www.lakeway-tx.gov/videos.

This weekend at the Lakeway Activity Center:

RAIN OR SHINE!!!!  Saturday, September 22…This Saturday!!!  Mark your calendar and don’t forget!  City Wide Indoor Garage Sale from 8am-12 noon.  All kinds of treasures for all ages!  Come shop this sale one time and you’ll be hooked!  Downsizing or uncluttering???  There are still 2 booths in the covered area of the courtyard available.  Members $25, Non-Members $35 Reserve your spot today!  At the end of the sales, we schedule charities to pick up so you can leave with empty boxes and full pockets.

Sunday, September 23-This Sunday, 4pm!!!  The Balcones Community Orchestra is in its 21st season of bringing high-quality chamber orchestra music to the Austin region and returns to the Lakeway Activity Center to perform works by some of history’s greatest classical composers.  Director Dr. Robert Radmer will lead the orchestra in the Concerto Grosso Op. 6, No. 6 in G Minor by Handel and Symphony No. 15 in G Major by Mozart.  Soloist Francesco Mastromatteo will perform the Cello Concerto in D Major by Haydn.  The Balcones Community Orchestra is in its 21st season of bringing high-quality chamber orchestra music to the Austin region. The all-volunteer group draws its repertoire from the masterworks for small orchestra.  For information, call the Activity Center at 512-261-1010.

Tickets:

Tickets are $15 for Lakeway Wildflower Chorus “Rhythm of Life”.  Performance is on Saturday, October 13th.  Guest performances by BelleTones and Highlights.  Doors open 6:30pm, show is 7pm. BYOB

Tickets are $5 and go on sale for “A Symphony of Horror” on September 28th!  Show is on Saturday, October 27th, 7pm-showtime!  Vampire Costume Contest!!!  This will feature the Lake Travis High School Chamber Orchestra performing to the 1922 film classic “Nosferatu.  Come see this all-time classic movie with real music accompaniment provided by award winning Lake Travis High School Orchestra!  Come experience a silent movie from the days of yesteryear, like grandma…great grandma used to see!  Popcorn and drinks will be available to purchase at the movie.   Prizes and more!  Come show your support for the Lake Travis High School Orchestra!!!
