Playgrounds and Some Park Facilities Temporarily Closed

A sign saying "Temporarily Closed"

While practicing physical distancing, you’re still able to visit our local Lakeway parks for physical and mental health to hike, jog or take a peaceful walk in nature. They’re still open, but understand that park playgrounds, the dog park and some additional equipment are off-limits currently. This means playground equipment, workout equipment, and the dog park are all off limits per the COVID-19 Orders in place. Please tell your children and others to avoid those facilities and respect the signage in place. Our sport courts are currently open, including the skate park, but per the Governor’s Orders, no more than four individuals should be on these locations at one time, while also practicing the appropriate six-feet distance rules. Additionally, individuals should continue to practice the proper physical distancing guidelines among others in any of our park locations, so please keep your distance. While no longer mandatory, it’s also highly encouraged for individuals to wear face coverings in public to protect others.

Continue to stay safe; stay healthy; wash your hands; and continue to practice ’physical’ distancing.
