A discussion on national security and terrorism kicks of the 20th season of Viewpoints, Lakeway’s distinguished speakers dinner series. The new season begins on October 20, 2019 at the Lakeway Activity Center with Fred Burton, one of the world’s foremost authorities on security and terrorism. He is the Chief Security Officer for Stratfor, a geopolitical intelligence platform based here in Central Texas. Burton is one of five distinguished speakers slated to present at this season’s series.
The popular series takes place at the Lakeway Activity Center on the third Sunday night of October, November, January and February along with the 5th Sunday in March of 2020. It includes five catered dinners and five speakers. “Our mission is to enrich the perspectives of Lakeway residents by delivering thought-provoking and informational speaker programs in the areas of science, history, business, current events and the arts in an entertaining and socially engaging atmosphere,” Viewpoints speaker committee chairman Tom Cain said.
