Burn Ban in Effect for Travis County

A burn ban took effect today (Aug. 6) in Travis County and will last until Sept. 11. This does include the City of Lakeway. During a burn ban, avoid lighting a fire outdoors. Outdoor cooking is allowed if flames are completely enclosed in the cooking device. If you see a potential issue that may be in violation of the ban, you can reach out to Lake Travis Fire Rescue by calling (512) 266-2533 or by emailing inspection@ltfr.org.
