The City of Lakeway Arts Committee invites the community to bring their lunches and dine while listening to free live music at the Brown Bag Luncheon Concert Series.
The weekly concerts are from noon-1 p.m. every Thursday in January and February at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek. They are open to everyone; no reservations or tickets are required. Plenty of table seating is available.
“Mark your calendars, pack your lunch, and prepare to be entertained,” said Janet Wright, Lakeway Arts Committee chair.

Venues like Donn’s Depot in Austin regularly get a rockin’ performance from Frank Cavitt on piano and vocals. Cavitt and the quartet captivate audiences with their honky-tonk style.
The Robert Skiles Quartet will present a musical valentine. Vocalist Shawnda Birch will be featured as they present popular songs with a taste of blues. Skiles is renowned as an orchestra leader, composer, and college teacher.
TexARTS students continue to amaze audiences with their exceptional talent in musical theater productions.
Matt Wilson will have everyone rockin’ to entertaining storytelling in music. Wilson is a consummate musician and vocalist, having gained national exposure wowing sold-out audiences as the “Piano Man” in the First National Tour of the Billy Joel Tony-award winning musical, “Movin’ Out.”
The Danny Britt Trio was well received in 2018. The Trio on guitar, along with mandolin, bass and vocals will play rousing country and bluegrass tunes for all to enjoy.
The Lake Travis Fiddlers, founded in 2000 by Lake Travis ISD Orchestra Director Anna Macias, are continuing to gain national recognition. They perform in a wide variety of Texas venues and are a hit in greater Lakeway. These fiddlers and singers present toe-tapping country and folk music.
The David Cummings Band brings romantic, popular standards to the stage for this special Valentine’s Day performance. Bring your sweetheart, best friends and dancing shoes.
Pianist Red Young has had a spectacular musical career, including recordings with Dolly Parton, Tanya Tucker, Linda Rondstadt, Eric Burdon, and Nelson Riddle as well as concert tours around the world. The Red Young Quartet will feature Young’s wife, vocalist Silvie Rider, in this concert.
Get ready for Mardi Gras as The Second Line Jazz Band returns again to Lakeway. They have performed in concerts sponsored by the Austin Traditional Jazz Society and at various festivals.
