Lakeway Airpark

Construction of a 3,200 foot long air strip was completed by the developers of Lakeway in 1964 as a means to attract visitors to the new community. Later, the airstrip was lengthened to 4,100 feet, and in 1995 was sold to Lakeway Airpark Inc. a non-profit, privately owned corporation, for a nominal sum. The Airpark is primarily for the use of residents of greater Lakeway, and their guests. It is an unmanned facility, open for use from sunrise to sunset. Self-service aviation fuel is available at a competitive price. The profit from the sale of fuel and parking fees is used to maintain the Airpark.
