July 4th Celebration

Time:  Events held throughout the day at various locations in Lakeway

Independence Day is the City’s biggest celebration of the year.  Come and enjoy Lakeway’s famous old-fashioned July 4th Celebration.  We have activities for the whole family.  The City of Lakeway will kick off a day-long July 4th Celebration on July 4th and the traditional schedule of activities is as follows:

8:30 a.m. - A festive parade on Lakeway Drive will wind its way from the Live Oak Golf Course to the Lakeway Activity Center at Cross Creek Road.  This year's theme: Fly Me To The Moon: One Small Step for a Man, One Giant Leap for Mankind,  celebrating the 50th anniversary the first manned moon mission.  Grand Marshal: Astronaut Capt. Kenneth Cockrell, U.S. Navy (Ret.)

10:00 a.m. - Immediately following the parade, please join us at the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek, for music, and a hot dog lunch.  Meet an astronaut!  Parade winners will be announced on the website and winners may pick up their ribbons at the Lakeway Activity Center anytime after July 4th, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Noon-8 p.m. - The Lakeway Swim Center will be open for fun at noon today with special pricing of $3 per person, all day with in-and-out privileges.  It is located at 3103 Lakeway Blvd at The Hills Drive.
