Youth Swim Teams
Lost Creek Aquatics at Lakeway operates a year-round USA Swimming team for youth at the Lakeway Swim Center.  Please visit the Lost Creek Aquatics website for more information about swim team for recreational and competitive swimmers.  This program is open to residents and non-residents.  Swimmers of all abilities are welcomed to participate.
    
The Lakeway Lakers summer swim team, is a recreational team that practices at the Lakeway Swim Center and participates in meets in the Austin area in May and June. Adult Masters Class
The Lakeway Swim Center offers a year-round Masters class for adults of all ages and abilities.  There is no minimum participation required. . .come as often as you like.  The goal for this class is to learn proper swim strokes, improve swimming ability, and work on endurance.  Bring your goggles. . . all other equipment is provided.  The pool is heated during the winter to 82 degrees and aerators keep the water temperature at around 78-80 degrees during the summer.  
   
Coach Ian Cross was born in Canada and grew up swimming in California, where he once held the national age group record for the 50 freestyle as a 10 and under.  He competed through high school and was a national qualifier in the 50, 100, the 100 freestyle and the 200 backstroke.  A former U.S. Marine, he has 20 years of coaching experience with clubs in Ft. Lauderdale, St. Louis and Houston.  He is a Level 5 coach with the American Swimming Coaches Association (ASCA), and has coached swimmers from summer league to Masters and all the way up to current members of the U.S. National Team.  Ian coached six swimmers to the U.S. Olympic Trials in 2004, 2012 and 2016.  Many of his swimmers have gone on to compete for Division I colleges, including Alabama, Florida, Cal State, Georgia, Texas, Princeton and Missouri.  His wife, Angela, is a teacher and they have two daughters; Abby, a junior at Lake Travis High School, and Evie, a sophomore at the University of Texas, where she is a member of the UT Women's Swimming and Diving Team.
