Dragon Park, located at 702-A Dragon Street, is equipped with a two playscapes, swings, basketball court, volleyball area, picnic tables, grills, restrooms and a small athletic field perfect for baseball or soccer.
From the intersection of Lakeway Boulevard and Lohmans Crossing Road, go west on Lakeway Boulevard for one block. Turn right onto Lakeway Drive. Follow Lakeway Drive past the Village Square Shopping Center. Bear right at the fork in the road and pass by Live Oak golf course and the tennis courts. Turn left on Dragon. In about a mile, you'll see the park on your left. It is located in a residential area.
There is plenty of parking and restroom facilities. The park is open from 6:00 am to 8:00 pm during Standard Time and until sundown during Daylight Savings Time.
Dragon Park is a great place to take your young children for an afternoon outing. The picnic tables may be reserved for parties by calling (512)314-7530. The swing set and playscape, as well as the volleyball and basketball courts will keep kids occupied for hours. The Dragon Park athletic field can be used for softball practice or a soccer game. It too, may be reserved.
You or your group must:
Come by or call the Parks & Recreation Dept. to:
Check availability and fill out a field reservation form.
Pay the appropriate fee.
Maintain receipts for verification purposes.
Provide the City of Lakeway with a release of liability.
Reservations must be made a full 48 hrs or 2 full business days in advance.
Individual / group reservations will be on a first come - first served basis. Each reservation (unless corporate)
Will have a maximum time frame of two hours.
Reservation must be utilized before another reservation is made
Reservations are not available on federal holidays.
The following are prohibited at Dragon Park:
• Glass containers
• Loud music or noise
• Unleashed dogs
• Motorized vehicles
• Picking vegetation
• Children under nine without adult supervision
