Home Ignition Zone Assessments

The Home Ignition Zone Assessment is a free, voluntary evaluation of the exterior of your home and landscape for conditions that could make your home vulnerable to wildfire.  Lake Travis Fire Rescue's Wildfire Mitigation Specialist will evaluate your property for fuels that could allow a yard fire or falling embers from a nearby wildfire to ignite your home.

During your Home Ignition Zone Assessment, you will be walking through with the Wildfire Mitigation Specialist, learning how to recognize risks as you go.  Prior to your assessment, it would be helpful to familiarize yourself with a couple of useful checklists. To request your free assessment, contact Lake Travis Fire Rescue Wildfire Mitigation Specialist  Chris Rea at 512-645-5840 or email.
