Lap Swimming and Rules for Pool Features
Lap Swimming Etiquette
- Expect to share a lane
- Try to swim with others of your own pace
- No diving
- Swim in a COUNTERCLOCKWISE direction staying to the right of the lane
- Pass at the ends of each lane or if the passing lane is clear
- Move to extreme right corners of the lane if stopping
- Avoid congregating at the end walls
- No hanging on lane lines
- Be considerate of others and their individual workouts
Frog Slide
- One person at a time
- Feet first
- Please wait until person ahead of you has exited the landing area
- No horse play
Lily Pad
- Patrons must be able to swim the width of the leisure pool
- Patrons must wait for staff approval to start their attempt
- Patrons must be able to stand on the lily pad and fully reach support line
- Patrons must only enter from the north (slide) side of the pool
- No diving off lily pads
- No running allowed on the lily pad walk
- No playing with anchor chains
- When patrons fall off, they must swim to the edge of the pool and exit
- One person at a time on the lily pads
- No horse play
- Never leap, stand, or jump on a floatable
- Stay out from under floatables
Water Slide
- Maximum operational load = 1 person, 300 lbs.
- Children under 48 inches tall (1.22 m) are not permitted on this ride
- Eyeglasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps
- Swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation is not permitted
- Only one rider to enter the slide at a time. Single riders only!
- Never form chains
- Slide must be ridden feet first lying on your back with legs firmly crossed at the ankles and arms folded across the chest (to prevent elbows contacting the slide)
- Riders must wait for the attendants start signal before starting the ride
- Do not uncross your legs or attempt to sit up until you come to a stop in the catch pool
- Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide
- At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by splash pool attendant and exit quickly
- CAUTION: For safety reasons, pregnant women and persons with heart conditions or back trouble should not ride this slide
Catch Pool
- Do not block the end of the slide
- Leave the splash pool quickly and orderly
- No swimming or flotation devices allowed in the catch pool
