Election Information - May 10, 2014
As of the close of business on February 28, 2014, the three candidates who had filed for a place on the May 10, 2014 ballot were uncontested. Therefore, at their regular monthly meeting in March, the City Council declared the unopposed candidates elected and cancelled the City's May General Election. On May 19, 2014, the following candidates were sworn into office: incumbent Councilmember Dave Taylor, who is serving another two-year term on the city council and candidates Sandra Cox and Dwight Haley, who are filling the open councilmember seats vacated by Councilmembers Dee Ann Burns and Bruce Harris, who reached their three-term limit after serving on council for the past six years.

City Council also voted to postpone the Special Election to amend the City Charter, which was originally scheduled for the May election, until the November 4, 2014 Election. Please note the important dates below for the Charter Amendment Election in November.
