  2. Lakeway Community Blood Drive

    The Lakeway Blood Drive is the largest Community Blood Drive in the 10-county area. If you are interested in donating or to get additional information, please contact Searcy Willis at 261-9055. Appointments are preferred, but walk-ins are taken where space is available. The Blood and Tissue Center of Central Texas is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. Founded in 1951 as the Travis County Medical Society Blood Bank, it initially provided whole blood to four Austin Hospitals and a couple of rural clinics. Its mission is to safeguard the community’s gifts of blood and tissue with uncompromising quality and excellence in customer service. The Blood and Tissue Center today is the exclusive provider and guardian of the community blood supply for more than 37 medical facilities in a ten-county service area of Central Texas.

  3. Lakeway Heritage Commission Meeting

    Lakeway Heritage Commission was formed in 2001 to develop among residents of Lakeway, and its environs, a pride in the heritage, growth, and development of their community, to educate the youth of the community about its historical significance, to promote the community’s historical sites and legends to educate the general public and publicize the community, to establish a Lakeway museum and library to provide historical research facilities for citizens of the community, to collect, preserve, catalog, store and display historical items significant to the history and heritage of the Lakeway community and surrounding area, and to serve as a repository for historical documents related to local area government, civic, and recreational organizations.

    This meeting has been cancelled and rescheduled as a public hearing at the Lakeway City Council meeting at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 15, 2014.

  5. Big Band Bash

    September 8, 7:30 PM - 10:00 PM @ Activity Center

    Put on your dancing shoes and bring your own beverages and snacks to the Lakeway Activity Center, 105 Cross Creek Road. Enjoy big band music from the 17-piece Republic of Texas Big Band, featuring David Cummings and Lisa Clark on vocals. This event is free and open to all ages. The band accepts donations after the show. Sponsored by the Lakeway Arts Committee.

  7. Lakeway Citywide Indoor Garage Sale

    September 13, 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM @ Activity Center

    Lakeway Activity Center’s City-Wide Indoor Garage Sales are fun for collectors, families, and bargain hunters. Find deals on everything from children’s clothing, furniture, and toys to housewares, collectibles, tools, and more! Admission is free, but the Activity Center gladly accepts donations of non-perishable or canned food items that will be donated to local food banks and charities. Booth space is limited, and Lakeway Activity Center members get to sign up early! The 10’ x 10’ space fee is $25 for Activity Center members and $35 for non-members and includes one table with one chair. This is the last Indoor Garage Sale for 2014.

  8. Lakeway City Council Meeting - 1st Public Hearing on FY 2015 Budget & Tax Rate

  9. Lakeway Board of Ethics Meeting

    The Code of Ethics provides that it is unlawful and a violation of the Code to directly or indirectly knowingly give or provide gratuitous economic benefits, exceeding a total value of $50 per donor per calendar year, to any person elected, appointed, or employed to serve the City in any office or position. Every person appointed, elected, employed (with the exception of seasonal employees) or contracted to serve the city in any office or position, and every person filing for election, anyone who is conducting or attempting to conduct business of any nature with the City, anyone who stands to derive a material economic benefit, either directly or indirectly, from any transaction with the City, anyone who has, or maintains a position adverse to the City in any legal or administrative proceedings.
